Michael Keller is the Ida M. Green University Librarian, Director of Academic Information Resources, Publisher of HighWire Press, and Publisher of the Stanford University Press. These titles touch on his major professional preoccupations: commitment to support of research, teaching and learning; effective deployment of information technology hand-in-hand with materials; active involvement in the evolution and growth of scholarly communication. Keller's responsibilities at Stanford encompass libraries, cybraries, academic and residential computing, publishing and publishing services.

John Sack, Associate Publisher and Director
John is the director and one of the founders of HighWire Press, launching HighWire in early 1995. In addition to leading and inspiring the entire HighWire staff, his role is to determine where the technology and publishing industries are going, how one of those might leverage the other, and how HighWire can best support its customers - publishers, editors - and its customers' customers - the libraries, students, researchers, and clinicians they serve. While this frequently involves working with new technology, as often it involves working with publishers on new ideas, opportunities, or problems they wish to address.

Nancy Boling, Associate Director, Finance
Nancy is HighWire's Associate Director of Finance. Her responsibilities include all areas of accounting and budgeting, legal affairs (including customer contracts), and procurement.

Kristen Fisher Ratan, Associate Director, Strategic Development
Kristen Fisher Ratan joined HighWire in the summer of 2005 and currently oversees business development, partnership, sales, and marketing. Her work includes planning future development for the HighWire electronic publishing platform, expanding HighWire's marketing footprint, and forging relationships with key partners.

Sandy Laws, Associate Director, Computer Systems
Sandy has been an integral member of the HighWire team since 1996 when her computer expertise from Stanford University systems and programming was called into play.

Ron Lichty, Associate Director, Publisher Services
Ron Lichty comes to HighWire with 22 years experience managing software development and product organizations in system software, multimedia, shrinkwrap products, professional services, software as a service, and IT.

Jim Nisbet, Chief Technology Officer
Jim Nisbet brings many years of industry and technical experience to HighWire. His role is to help HighWire make optimal technical decisions, and through understanding the technical details and the big picture help set technical directions and plans for the future.

William Witscher, Associate Director, Content Systems and Services
Bill joined HighWire at the beginning of 1998, after a long career at Stanford on the business and information systems sectors of the university, and also after a brief 'retirement' period working with a small start-up software consulting firm in Silicon Valley.
